playence media builds on top of playence prose offering cutting-edge search and annotation facilities specifically targeting multimedia assets (i.e. audios, videos, text and pictures). It affords users the means to transparently search for and within multimedia assets just like we currently do with textual documents.

playence media features cutting edge contextualization technology. This affords the means to automatically discover relationships living in the information assets and bringing structure to plain text documents, audios and videos. Moreover, it provides the means to perform queries using fully fledge expressions and phrases in natural language, just like if we were actually talking to another person.

Same as playence prose, playence media follows a Service-Oriented architecture (SOA) design, and is available in a Software as a Service (SaaS) offering, or license solution. All playence products feature advanced administration and security mechanisms to ensure the precise level of customization and access level across the organization.

Benefits

  • Search within audios and videos just like you currently do with textual documents, landing a query at the exact second a word is being pronounced or a character a appears.
  • Automatically discover relationships living in your information assets, bringing structure to plain text documents, audios and videos, for improved search results.
  • Perform queries using fully fledge expressions and phrases in natural language, just like if you were currently talking to another person.

Challenges

  • Rapid growth in use and adoption of rich media content, yet current vendors lack fully-fledged support.
  • Rich media is able to carry more information, requiring specific products to enable corporations and Web users to consume it, also across mobile and tablet devices.
  • Existing search solutions are unable to seamlessly search over structure (i.e. metadata, XML, financial records, etc.) and unstructured (i.e. rich media, pdf, doc, email, etc.).
