Our solutions improve information access to multimedia content across verticals. playence is able to process natural language queries, landing a search at the exact second a word is being pronounced in an audio or a character appears on a video stream.
General Summary
playence seeks an Account Manager to join our international team and help us grow in the UK. The Account Manager will be responsible for meeting / exceeding assigned sales goal for the target geography, actively growing the pipeline, tracking opportunities and closing deals.
Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed annual sales goal.
  • Actively grow pipeline including planning and forecasting of sales.
  • Opportunity tracking identifying and initiating steps in sales cycles for playence products.
  • Ensure a professional sales experience for customers during all aspects of sales process and touch points.
  • Work closely with engineering to coordinate account activities that aid in developing opportunities and closing sales.
Experience/Skills
  • MSc, BA/BSc in business, computer science or related discipline (or equivalent), or equivalent experience. MBA is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in software, Internet and/or media account management. Familiarity with Semantic technology is a plus. 
  • Strong business acumen and excellent organizational, analytical, and influencing skills.
  • Effective time management and networking skills.
  • Savvy negotiator.
  • Strong problem solving skills and a high degree of creativity / resourcefulness.
  • Competitive drive and determination.
  • Customer focused and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Spanish is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
